Original language is a title detail
The Languages catalog groups titles by their original language. It helps when you want a Korean film, Japanese animation or a French-language story. It is not a list of all subtitle tracks supplied by every viewing service. Open the film and compare the selected offer for its actual audio and caption choices.
Past Lives, for example, makes language part of the relationship between its characters. Read the premise and choose a viewing version with the tracks you need rather than treating the original-language label as a complete description of what you will hear on screen.
Choose subtitles for the particular episode
Open the language or captions menu in the player you selected. A series can have different options between services or editions, so check the episode you are about to watch. If you need captions that include sound cues as well as dialogue, look for the destination’s caption or accessibility labels.
Arcane’s season guide helps identify the installment; it does not download a subtitle file or promise a particular translation. Match the episode name first, then use the supported tracks in the selected player. This avoids confusing a season list with a source of standalone caption files.
Make dialogue easy to follow
Where supported, adjust subtitle size, contrast and background while a few lines are visible. Leave enough room around the bottom of the picture and check how the text looks from your normal seat. If the words lag behind the dialogue, use the player’s synchronization controls if available, or report the episode and timing to that service.
